Hey Kim,

If you can find a “hungry” market for an affiliate product AM works just fine.
What do people want? Answer that question with a product and/or service
that fills that need and you are on your way.

Please note, most people do not know how to market affiliate products or services
get frustrated and quit and say it doesn’t work.

Get some info from google on AM and you’ll get a better idea of what I am referring to.

How do I set up an affiliate marketing campaign?
I work for a media company that wants me to initiate an affliate network structure. At the moment I work in SEM but I have had no experience of affiliate marketing. I need to know the very basics about where and how to start building this from scratch. And, does anyone know what sort of timescale I would be looking at for initial implimentation? It will be focused on the finance industry. Particularly B2B.

You need to do a lot of “homework” and research before spending money on PPC to drive traffic to affiliate merchants.

If you’re thinking about buying a “program” that some promoter is selling, think twice.

A good place to research affiliate marketing is ABestWeb (http://www.ABestWeb.com/) which is a community of affiliates and merchants — don’t post there until you’ve spent at least 10 hours searching and reading old discussions.

There are many people quietly making fortunes from affiliate marketing.

There are two sides:
1.) The merchant who contracts people (affiliates) to market and sell his products.
2.) The people (affiliates) who agree to market and sell the merchant’s product(s).

You won’t make money going into social networks and screaming, “Hey look at my affiliate site!” And you won’t make money buying advertising.

The only way to make real, long-term money online with affiliate programs is to build your own internet presence.

Learn WHO your target market is and everything you can about their problems, concerns, needs and wants.

Then create content using well researched keywords that your target market uses when searching for information and solutions at the search engines. Give them what they come looking for when they find you… information! Good valuable and relevant content pre-sells your visitors whom you can then refer to your “solution,” your affiliate sales page.

What are some good home base online business that are NOT scams?
I’m just looking for a online home base business that are 100% NOT a scam. A business that is pretty simple to do and where i can make at least $1,000 or $2,000 a month. i don’t want to get in to taking surveys online to make some extra cash, all of them are scams. Thank You.

That will vary by site. You need to look into the particulars for each site. The only tax you have to worry about is that due in your country for income.
