WHERE CAN I FIND HELP BUILDING AN AFFILIATE MARKETING WEBSITE?
I’m interesting in gettnig into affiliate marketing and need some initial help in putting together the website. I currently have a webiste and was wondering if it would be possible to do it, using my current site although it is not dealing with affiliate marketing. I heard someting about shared sites. Definitely. I am an internet marketer/SEO consultant/Web Designer myself and I use WordPress for pretty much everything apart from e-commerce websites and website that require a lot of bespoke coding.
I think there are 3 main reasons for WordPress being so popular:
1. It is extremely SEO friendly ‘out-of-the-box’.
2. If you want WordPres to do something it doesn’t already then there is probably a plugin to add that functionality.
3. The sheer amount of themes. Anything from the thousands of good quality free themes to websites like http://themeforest.net/ which sell premium themes that make it look like you’ve had a $5000 website made for you.

But recommended is a WordPress blog as almost all the functionality that a sit can have, can be achieved in WordPress blog. Look of the homepage can be made like a site by making static homepage.

Having the website is the easy part. Driving traffic to it is the key.
Edit: Another fantastic source is the “30 Day Challenge.” It’s a free affilate marketing 30 day course that covers just about everything. The goal is to turn a profit within 30 days. I think it’s done once a year, but they might have the 2010 challenge achived so you can watch each lesson and go through the course yourself.

If you don’t have much money you can create an affiliate account at shareasale.com for about 150
If you created your ecommerce site in oscommerce, they have a very good plugin that allows you to create affiliate acounts for free
if you are look at becoming an affiliate yourself you need to join cj.com or the others i spoke about, as this is free.
